This is a hands‑on senior technical role with significant influence over cloud strategy, standards, and engineering excellence across the organisation.

Your Key Contributions

Cloud Architecture & Engineering Leadership

  • Architect and implement multi‑cloud platforms (Azure + AWS) with an emphasis on scalability, resilience, security, and cost‑efficiency.
  • Lead the design of enterprise IaC frameworks using Terraform/Terragrunt, enforcing modularity, reusability, and compliance standards.
  • Define cloud networking architecture (hub/spoke, hybrid connectivity, firewalls, routing) and lead troubleshooting of complex network issues.
  • Establish guardrails, governance, and best practices for cloud security, identity, encryption, data protection, and monitoring.

CI/CD and DevOps Strategy

  • Own and evolve the organisation‑wide CI/CD strategy using Azure DevOps and Bitbucket.
  • Architect end‑to‑end pipelines integrating automated testing, security scanning, policy enforcement, and multi‑environment deployments.
  • Standardize build and release processes across teams and reduce delivery friction through automation and pipeline optimization.
  • Mentor teams on Git workflows, branching models, and release engineering patterns.

Platform Reliability, Operations, and Security

  • Oversee platform health, performance, and cost governance across cloud workloads.
  • Champion DevSecOps practices, embedding security controls into infrastructure and pipelines.
  • Implement enterprise standards for backup, disaster recovery, observability, auditability, and incident response.

Cross‑Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as the senior technical point of contact for development, IT, data, networking, and security teams.
  • Drive architectural alignment across domains and guide engineering teams during planning, reviews, and delivery.
  • Play an active leadership role in SCRUM/Agile ceremonies, influencing planning and prioritization.
  • Communicate platform strategies, risks, and decisions to technical and non‑technical stakeholders.

Database & Application Stack Ownership

Architecture Documentation & Diagramming

  • Produce high‑quality architecture diagrams, cloud topology maps, and network schematics for engineering and leadership.

Required Senior-Level Technical Skills

Essential Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Azure DevOps and Bitbucket
  • 2+ years of databricks experience is essential

The Office of the SVP , Engineering is launching an initiative seeking a highly skilled and proactive analyst. This contractor will support the rapid assessment and rationalization of a critical application portfolio and help establish the core operational playbook for scaling the initiative across the enterprise. This role requires a strong combination of technical proficiency, data validation skills, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Data Foundation & Validation
  • Application Data Validation: Lead the initial sanitation and consolidation of application inventory data from various sources (e.g., retired EAM tools, spreadsheets) into the central repository (App 360). Ensure accurate BPG and ownership mapping.
  • Metric Collection & Accuracy: During the pilot, rigorously validate the accuracy of existing application data (e.g., technical fit scores) and systematically collect new metrics (TCO, support model, vendor EoL) by engaging with stakeholders across Finance and SAM (Software Asset Management).

Titulación: Formación en Matemáticas, Estadística o formación técnica (Ingeniería Informática, Ingeniería Industrial, Ingeniería Telecomunicaciones, Informática…). Se valorarán Posgrados en Inteligencia Artificial, Data Science, Analytics, Big Data o similar.

  • Análisis y tratamiento de las diferentes fuentes de información existentes en el cliente.
  • Análisis de kpis, de causa-raiz y de información general.
  • Toma de requerimientos de usuarios de negocio, entendimiento del valor añadido e incorporación de ello en el diseño de análisis o informes.

¿Qué harás?

Senior Data Engineer (Scala / Spark) – AWS Migration | Start ASAP

Signify Technology is partnering with a client on a large-scale GCP → AWS data migration We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help deliver the final phase of a business-critical data platform.

Location : Fully Remote (EU timezones) US East Coast team – some overlap required

Contract:- Until the end of 2026 (likely extension)

Rate : $500–$550 per day

Interview Process -2 stages (fast turnaround)

What You’ll Do

  • Deliver the final 30% of a complex data migration (GCP → AWS)
  • Work with and adapt an existing Scala-based Spark codebase
  • Translate pipelines for AWS compatibility and performance
  • Support Airflow (Python) orchestration
  • Ensure robust testing, validation, and monitoring across pipelines
