Our client is looking for a Senior Full Stack Product Engineer who can own delivery end-to-end, from frontend to backend and operate effectively in an AI-native development environment. Next.js is a core requirement for this role.

This is not a traditional developer role! Our client builds products and systems for governments and large institutions, where speed, ownership, and engineering judgement matter. With 5+ years of production experience required, they need engineers who are already operating at a senior level and can take a feature from idea through to deployment with genuine autonomy.

The Role

Our client is a product-led advisory firm working with governments and leading enterprises on high-impact digital transformation. They are hiring a Senior Full Stack Product Engineer working primarily in Next.js + TypeScript with a Next.js back end built on relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server, building production-grade applications for governments and large institutions. Ownership is real and starts from day one — engineers are expected to take features from architecture through to deployment independently.

Hands-on experience integrating Large Language Models (LLMs) into production systems is highly valued. The client works with LLM APIs and expects engineers to understand prompt engineering, context management, retrieval-augmented generation patterns, and the practical trade-offs involved in building reliable, maintainable AI-powered features rather than fragile prototypes.

What You Will Bring

• Strong, hands-on Next.js and React experience (mandatory) with proficiency in TypeScript and modern frontend architecture
• Proven ability to own features end-to-end (UI → API → database) with strong debugging and problem-solving skills across the full stack
• Hands-on experience integrating AI and LLM APIs into real products, with experience building and consuming clean, scalable REST APIs across the full stack
• Solid understanding of relational databases such as PostgreSQL and SQL Server, with a strong grasp of performance, scalability, and architecture trade-offs
• Comfortable using AI tools in your daily development workflow not just experimenting, but genuinely embedded into how you write, review, and ship code every day
• Experience working in remote, autonomous environments with a high degree of ownership and minimal oversight
• Able to take ambiguous requirements and turn them into working, production-grade features without heavy oversight
• Nice to have: experience with .NET / ASP.NET Core, Azure or cloud platforms, Playwright or automated testing, TailwindCSS, or integrating LLMs into production applications
• Maintains engineering rigor even in a fast-moving, AI-driven environment and you understand what the code is doing, not just what the AI generated

Our client’s workflows are evolving rapidly with AI, from development and QA through to delivery. They are not looking for engineers who are curious about AI and plan to explore it. They are looking for engineers who have already made it central to how they work and can demonstrate that clearly in interview.

The Money & Contract
