As the Technical Lead - Generative AI Agents, you will be the architectural North Star for our agentic initiatives. You will lead the design and delivery of production-grade AI systems that transform how our offerings for B2C customers operate, moving beyond “demos” to create scalable, observable, and reliable business tools.

What You’ll Do

• Architect & Implement: Design complex agentic workflows—including orchestration, long-term memory, and tool-use—using frameworks like LangGraph, Embabel, or state-machine-based patterns.
• Cross-Functional Partnership: Work in a high-impact, cross-functional environment alongside a Product Manager to translate ambiguous customer problems into concrete, scalable technical solutions.
• Engineering Alignment: Collaborate closely with your Engineering Manager, who provides strategic support for the team’s operational and resource needs while you hold the “technical keys” to the AI roadmap.
• Team Leadership: Provide technical direction and mentorship to a diverse, hybrid team of internal engineers and specialist freelancers.
• Hands-on Execution: Drive the mission by coding alongside the team, performing deep-dive code reviews, and building critical infrastructure.
• Quality & Standards: Set the “gold standard” for code quality, system design, and testing patterns across the entire AI stack.
• Future-Proofing: Stay at the bleeding edge of the agentic ecosystem (new LLMs and research) to ensure the Kleinanzeigen stack remains competitive.

Who You Are

• Agentic Framework Expert: You have deep experience with LLM orchestration, focusing on reliability, accuracy, memory management, and tool-calling.
• Production-Grade MLE: You have a proven track record in “productionizing” AI, including tracing, prompt management, latency optimization, and building LLM-as-a-judge evaluation pipelines.
• Polyglot Engineer: You are proficient in Python for AI/ML logic and possess a solid working knowledge of Java for backend services and enterprise integration.
• ML Fundamentals: You have a strong grounding in ML/LLM fundamentals, knowing when to use RAG versus Fine-tuning or sophisticated Prompt Engineering.
• Leadership Mindset: You take ownership of architectural bottlenecks and thrive in managing ambiguity, turning “what ifs” into technical specifications.
