We are hiring a Test Automation Engineer (Java / Selenium / BDD) to support a leading private‑banking organization during a key phase of its international core‑banking transformation. This role sits within a highly regulated, global environment and offers strong technical impact and visibility across critical banking platforms.

This position is ideal for professionals with solid experience in automated testing using Java , who are comfortable working closely with development teams while taking ownership of test automation strategy, framework design, and regression stability .

The Project

You will join an international private‑banking environment undergoing a major transformation of its core banking platforms , with a strong focus on Temenos T24 / Transact .

As part of a cross‑functional, highly skilled delivery team , you will contribute to ensuring quality, reliability, and regression stability across core banking, payments, and securities systems.

You will collaborate closely with developers, requirements engineers, Test Managers, solution architects, and DevOps teams , helping to evolve automated testing practices aligned with the organization’s global standards and delivery pipelines.

What We’re Looking For

A Test Automation Engineer with a strong Java background , able to design, develop, and maintain robust automated regression suites , while actively collaborating with development and business teams.

We do not expect you to be a developer focused on feature delivery. However, we value professionals who are technically strong, proactive, and comfortable working close to the code , with a clear focus on quality and automation .

✔️ Strong Experience (Mandatory)

• At least 5 years of experience as a QA .
• Solid hands‑on experience with Java and automated testing frameworks
• Strong experience with Selenium, Cucumber, Gherkin (BDD)
• Proven experience building and maintaining automated regression frameworks
• Experience working in agile, cross‑functional teams within a DevOps‑centric model
• Good understanding of CI/CD pipelines , automated test execution, and reporting
• Experience with Jira and Xray (test management and traceability)
• Hands‑on experience with manual testing and exploratory testing
• Banking or financial services experience ( essential )
• Pragmatic mindset, strong analytical thinking, and focus on quality delivery
• Professional working proficiency in English (B2+/C1)

✔️ Nice to Have

• Experience with Temenos T24 / Transact or Triple A
• Experience automating end‑to‑end scenarios across integrated banking systems
• Familiarity with payments (SEPA, SWIFT) , securities, or trade finance flows
• Experience supporting core banking release upgrades or platform migrations
• Knowledge of Selenium Grid
• Higher education in IT (Bachelor’s / Master’s or equivalent experience)
• ISTQB Foundation Certification
• Selenium certification

Your Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts in Java using Selenium and BDD
• Build and evolve automated regression suites for T24 / Transact‑based applications and interfaces
• Analyze requirements and specifications with regard to testability and automation feasibility
• Automate test scenarios covering core banking, payments, and securities domains
• Maintain and adapt automated tests as business processes, regulations, and configurations change
• Ensure automated tests are executed via CI/CD pipelines , with results consolidated and shared with stakeholders
• Integrate automated tests with Jira / Xray for traceability and reporting
• Collaborate closely with developers and requirements engineers to ensure automation readiness
• Support Test Managers with effort estimation and automation strategy
• Participate actively in agile ceremonies (planning, refinement, retrospectives)
• Contribute to continuous improvement of testing practices across the organization
