Your Role: Associate Vice President Power Utilities.

We are looking for an Associate Vice President Power Utilities who is ready to play a leading role in one of the most exciting chapters of our Iberia story. You are reporting to the Power Utilities lead in EMEA and the head of Advanta in Iberia.

This isn’t a conventional sales role. As a trusted technical advisor , you will be the bridge between Siemens Advanta’s cutting-edge portfolio and the real, complex challenges faced by energy and utility companies across the region. You will own strategic relationships, lead digital consulting pursuits, and help clients in Power, Water, and Utilities understand not just what technology can do, but what it can do for them.

You will be responsible for a portfolio of 3 to 4 key accounts in the Power and Water Utilities sector , working at the intersection of business strategy and industrial technology. This is a role where your voice matters; your expertise shapes proposals, and your relationships open doors.

You’ll be getting in early, when your impact matters most.

Your responsibilities:

Drive growth with purpose:

• Develop, own, and execute the sales strategy with focus on Power Utility (DSOs, TSOs) clients , leveraging the full breadth of Siemens Advanta’s portfolio.
• Build and manage a robust pipeline, leading pursuit teams to win strategic, high-impact deals, including negotiations in Iberia.

Build relationships that last:

• Identify and connect with decision-makers at every level, from operational stakeholders to C-suite executives, becoming a go-to trusted partner for client CXOs and key influencers.
• Nurture opportunities with precision: evaluating fit, communicating value, and following through with the consistency that builds long-term trust.

Orchestrate the right solution:

• Shape tailored value propositions that combine Advanta’s capabilities with the right ecosystem partners, always anchored in a consultative, value-selling approach.
• Lead the full sales cycle, from opportunity qualification and account strategy through cost estimation, proposal development, and deal closure.

Collaborate and connect:

• Work hand in hand with other Siemens businesses to co-develop new services and IoT offerings that keep us ahead of the market.

What you offer:

You come from the power utilities world, you understand it, you speak its language, and you have the network to prove it. You are equally comfortable discussing grid modernization and SCADA systems with an operations director as you are presenting a digital transformation roadmap to a board. More specifically, you bring:

Background & Experience:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Power / Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of industry experience with strong technical background in power grid operation and network planning particularly in DSO and TSOs, and to a lesser extent in power production or water utilities environments.
• 3–5 years in sales, or customer engagement roles within consulting, professional services, system integration, or solutions delivery.
• Hands-on experience with OT & IT integration projects, including IoT architecture, edge devices, sensors, hardware, security, AI, and cloud environments.

Domain Knowledge:

• Deep understanding of assets, systems, and processes in power and as a plus water utilities, enough to anticipate your client’s challenges before they articulate them.
• Ability to develop industry-specific use cases and proposals that speak directly to the customer’s journey and business context.
• Existing relationships and networks within the energy and utilities sector in Iberia, a rolodex built on trust and delivery.

Skills & Mindset:

• Confident presenting at C-level and board level , while equally skilled at building informal, trusted relationships across all seniority levels.
• Strong communicator, strategic thinker, and creative problem-solver.
• Intrapreneurial spirit, you’re energized by ambiguity and excited by the chance to build something new.
• Fluent in Spanish and English (advanced level required); additional languages are a plus.
• Open and willing to travel across the region as the role demands.
