Senior DevOps Engineer - Contract

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong hands‑on background in cloud platforms, observability, and modern infrastructure‑as‑code practices. The ideal candidate brings deep technical expertise, at least 8 years of experience , and the ability to work autonomously in a fast‑paced environment.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the migration of existing monitoring systems from Splunk to New Relic
- Collaborate to design and implement New Relic governance foundations, including account structure, tagging standards, alerting strategies, dashboards, SLOs
- Define and promote ways of working for observability, ensuring alignment across engineering teams and driving continuous improvement of monitoring processes.
- Implement technical foundations for the company’s systems in New Relic, including logs APM, infrastructure, distributed tracing, synthetics, and integrations.
- Collaborate with application teams to onboard services to New Relic and ensure proper instrumentation, data quality, and visibility.
- Automate observability configurations using Terraform and integrate them into GitHub‑based CI/CD workflows.
- Provide technical guidance to internal teams on Azure, Terraform, GitHub Actions, and observability practices.
- Ensure monitoring and alerting are aligned with business‑critical SLIs/SLOs, enabling proactive detection and rapid troubleshooting.
- Support continuous improvement of operations, reliability, performance, and security.
Requirements:
- New Relic – Dashboards, alerts, APM, infrastructure, logs, distributed tracing,
- synthetics, performance tuning.
- Azure Cloud – Resource management, networking, IAM, governance, cost
- controls.
- Terraform – Modular IaC design, provisioning, state management, automation.
- GitHub – GitHub Actions, CI/CD, repository governance, security features.

- SonarCloud – Code scanning automation and rules management.
- Open Policy Frameworks (OPA, Conftest) – Policy-as-Code.
