What you will do

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of engineers, helping them grow and perform at their best
• Take ownership of the design, development, deployment, and operation of cloud services
• Drive technical excellence across the team, including scalability, maintainability, and correctness
• Play a key role in shaping system design and validating technical solutions
• Contribute to the technical roadmap and align engineering direction with product and customer needs
• Support hiring activities and help attract strong talent into the team
• Foster an open, blameless, and collaborative engineering culture
• Partner closely with Product Owners, Engineering Managers, and Agile stakeholders

What we are looking for

• 5+ years of experience building and delivering software products
• 3+ years in a technical leadership role, with ownership of projects and engineering direction
• 2+ years of people management / disciplinary leadership experience
• Strong servant leadership mindset, with a genuine passion for supporting and empowering others
• Strong experience with Kubernetes , ideally with certifications such as CKA or CKAD
• Experience developing Kubernetes Operators
• Solid understanding of networking , including areas such as Linux networking, routing, or SDN
• Comfortable working in agile, cloud-native, and product-oriented environments
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Business fluent English

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenStack
• German language skills
